Chautauqua Performance of Grandpa Jones

Louis Marshall Jones, also known as Grandpa Jones, is a country music legend!  Born in Henderson County, Kentucky and raised by sharecropper parents, he learned songs from them and the radio. His talent even led him to win a contest which got him a job at an Akron radio station. But it was his role as an original cast member on “Hee-Haw” that brought him true fame!  In 1978, he was rightfully inducted into the prestigious Country Music Hall of Fame.  Let’s celebrate this incredible artist and his contribution to country music history! Listen to her story and enjoy a light snack at our Event Barn.  Doors open at 5:45pm and performance begins at 6:30pm.  For catering purposes, tickets must be purchased no later than Jan 3rd.
