Our Location

Our stone faced Tasting Room gift shop was once a farm tool shed. Nestled amongst birches and flower beds, the gift shop offers tastings and a picnic garden area with a tiered deck overlooking the vineyards and miniature golf putting green. Enjoy a Kodak moment with our horse sculpture “Vegetariat” located in the tasting room garden area or put a few golf balls on the putting green.

Self-Guided Tour

You can spend as much or as little time as you would like on the self-guided tour of our property. Pick up a map at the gift shop and explore our 38 acres and examine up-close several different grape varieties used in our wines and the different vineyard trellis techniques. Bring a picnic and stop for awhile to enjoy Mother Nature and take in the views of the surrounding horse farms. You may tour the grounds at your leisure during our normal Tasting Room business hours.

Guided Tour

The Guided Tour is complimentary and highlights our renovated tobacco barn winery that showcases our wine production facility (during harvest time, this area may be off-limits), our flower gardens, the vineyards and finishes in our quaint stone tasting room where you can sample the fruits of our efforts with an optional wine tasting ranging from $8 and $12 per person. The tours are Monday-Thursday at 1:30 and Friday-Saturday at 1:30 and 4:00 (weather and staffing dependent).  Suggestion, if you are a party of 6 or more, please contact the vineyard in advance so we can make sure we are fully prepared to serve you for a great experience.

All tours are weather permitting. Approximately 45 minutes.

Private Tour & Tasting

Designed for groups of at least 10 or more, this private tasting and tour package allows a more in-depth look at the winemaking and vineyard processes and includes a private wine tasting as well as a fruit, cheese and cracker reception. Contact us for pricing and further booking information.  Advanced reservations and deposit required. Reservations must be placed at least 72 hours in advance.  All orders require a credit card to reserve the order.


Our tasting room and gift shop is the perfect place to relax and sample our full selection of wines.  We also have local beer, water, sodas and more! Tastings range from $8 to $12 per person and include 6 samples of Equus Run wines. Wine is available by the glass or the bottle to enjoy on our patios and grounds.  We have a selection of wine accessories, deli food items and other merchandise to remember your “Day in the Bluegrass”.

Our last tasting will be 15 minutes prior to business closing.  We are open 7 days of week year-round. (Closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day)

Picnic Program

Let us prepare a picnic for you!  Just give us a call to plan ahead and we will have everything ready for your visit.  You can enjoy our beautiful Horse Capital of the World surrounded by horse farms and vineyards. Our Picnic Box Lunch program for groups of 6 or more offers you a perfect complement to your special visit with us.  We encourage our guests to enjoy the grounds, stroll by the South Elkhorn Creek or “sit and sip” in one of our beautiful gazebos, on the tasting room patio or barn veranda patio— all surrounded by vineyards and horse farms. We’ll arrange delivery of your order for locally produced, delicious gourmet picnic foods. Picnic menus are available for you to select your gourmet box lunch foods! $55.00 per person. Timeframe is about 1½  hours. Please call us at 859-846-9463 for more information or to make a reservation.
