A Taste of Wine Country in the Heart of Horse Country

Experience unforgettable moments at Equus Run Vineyards, just 15 miles from downtown Lexington. With an ongoing calendar of live music, open-air theater, intimate wine dinners, and festive gatherings at our scenic vineyard, we are more than a scenic escape—we’re a premier destination for entertainment, culture, and community in the heart of the Bluegrass.

Whether you’re a wine enthusiast or a curious traveler, our vineyard and winery experiences offer an unforgettable experience. Wander through the vines on a self-guided tour, learn about our production processes with our tour guides, enjoy a delicious picnic lunch with friends, or sip your way through a tasting flight of our wines.

History meets entertainment at Chautauqua Theater, an immersive experience in the story of Kentucky as told through the perspective of its most famous residents. Presented in partnership with the Kentucky Humanities Council, the Chautauqua program engages local actors to bring these stories to life.
